| - Superb. Décor of venue is excellent. Sealed, auto-claved utensils opened in front of you. Pedi-basin liners. Other obvious (& expected) attention to sanitary issues.
My mani tech was very attentive to detail. She suggested a new tint on French that was a better tint than any that any tech has ever suggested to me before. Eyebrow tech was also very attentive to detail as well.
It is priced higher-than average, so be prepared for that. Gel mani $40. Eyebrows $15. But, so far, I think it is going to be worth it.
The one downside. This has recently become a "cash only" business. There's an apologetic sign on the reception desk. Oh, those unfair credit card companies, constantly raising their prices and changing their procedures. This will help us keep are prices low and fair for our beloved customers. Or something along those lines.
Really, now. Every other merchant/retailer in America doesn't like (these truly unfair) card fees either, but you don't see any of them saying they'll only take cash from now on. Everyone knows that a lot of Asian nail salons will subtly nag you to pay in cash. And everyone knows the TWO reasons why they do. I wish EYE could get paid in cash - and you know why I do. And as far as pricing, well as I've already said, the pricing is higher-than-average already. Even though, so far, I think it is worth it.
The grapevine at other nearby shops is that this new policy has cost this shop both customers AND technicians.
This certainly isn't what is meant by taking your business green - but, for now, I'll roll with it.
UPDATE: I've used NewStyle about a dozen times now ... and I've pretty much settled in there. The service from almost every tech has been quite good. With apologies, I've stopped using LaBelle. LaBelle is just a good bit further from my home ... and NewStyle can handle my walk-in fetish much more readily. But I can still certainly recommend LaBelle's quality of work.
