| - I came in recently with a small group of friends for a GNO-there weren't many people during the 3 hours that we were there, which made it pleasant since more people=louder, noisier environment=you have to scream to be heard by someone in your party who may only be 3 feet away.
We ordered an assortment of items for the table:
Slider combo (which allows you to sample several of the sliders) consisted of:
Slider 1-BBQ Chicken, chicken was dry and not seasoned well, the bun was dry, so I discarded it completely.
Slider 2-Angus Black & Bleu-meat did not seem to be a quality blend, and was overcooked-texture was dry, as was the bun (I discarded it.)
Slider 3-Angus with Swiss/Gruyere-same as Angus Black & Bleu, but different toppings, the bun was dry (I discarded it.)
Slider 4-I'm not sure what the last slider was, I'd given up by then.
Spinach and Artichoke Dip-Served warm with corn chips, artichoke had a nice texture, as did the dip. Corn chips seemed fairly fresh.
Steak Empanadas-steak was nicely seasoned, finely ground, empanada was crispy yet soft inside. The chimichurri cream sauce was a hit for the table-it was the color of avocado, and had a nice undertone of spice, which was not overwhelming or actually hot.
Potstickers-Nice and chewy, with various veggies which were cooked to a nice texture. Accompanying sauce was light and pleasantly flavored.
Quattro flatbread-had various cheeses and a balsamic reduction which was sweet, and had the typical pleasant balsamic tang, but was not overpowering.
Hummus-nice garlic flavor, pita was warm, and soft. We ordered two of these for the table.
Chocolate cupcake-moist, but I prefer a moister chocolate dessert. The chocolate flavor was there, though.
Lemon ginger cupcake-moist, with subtle ginger flavor, icing had the perfect amount of sweetness.
Pineapple cake-very moist, flavorful, delicious- pineapples were cooked to a nice texture, and one of us ordered one to take home to hubby.
Red velvet cake-typical red velvet cake with the nice addition of cheesecake.
The American-apples, cooked and nicely presented in a mini-skillet, vanilla ice cream on the side.
Candied bacon ice cream cookie-I was too stuffed to try this one, but the ladies thought that it was very good!
Tiramisu Martini-I didn't taste this one, but I heard the ladies say that it was delicious, and a 2nd one was ordered after the first one was gone.
Sangria-a hit for the table-if you prefer a more unadulterated drink, request the Sangria with the lemon juice and ginger ale on the side. You can choose white sangria or red (we chose red.)
Staff were all accommodating, answered our questions in a pleasant manner, and the bartender was nice enough to come over and describe & explain the components of the Sangria.
The manager redid some of our checks, as a few of us didn't know about using the Yelp app to check in and receive a discount, so we requested to have our bills adjusted once we found this out.
Even though we got a few board games out to play, we were having such a great time eating, drinking, and talking, that we never got around to the board games.
We had a nice evening out in a trendy, chic location, with decent food, excellent desserts, a super-cool environment, and friendly staff. We are planning another GNO here soon!
