First let me say two things, these artists deserve a much better venue than the one they currently have. The Flamingo Showroom is certainly showing it's age, the seating isn't the greatest and it does them a disservice to perform there. Secondly and just an aside, Marie has had so much work done she barely looks like herself and she's wonderful and didn't need to do any of it.
Now for a review of the show. Very high energy and even if you weren't a Donny and Marie fan growing up, there certainly is something for everyone in the show, including Marie doing an aria from an opera that made your mouth drop she was that good. Who knew she was that versatile. They did some new songs from just released albums as well as songs from some of their Broadway shows and some of their old stuff for us old folks in the crowd who grew up in the 70s and watched their show.
I would have given this five stars except for two things - many of songs were just clips and not the entire song and there were times when the energy was so high that it seemed disjointed. I was also disappointed that they didn't do many of their older songs and the ones they did were again just parts of songs and not the entire song.
Still it was a good show, 90 minutes long, and worth the money.
