| - Updating my review to include their sales staff. I was looking to upgrade my 2013 model to a more current version. I search for my vehicle through my credit union's car buying website and submitted a request for additional information. Within 30 minutes, Lauren Luckey contacted me via phone call and e-mail. I set up an appointment with her on a Friday afternoon. I walk into the dealership a bit early for my appointment and Lauren is with a client. Not a big deal. I grab a soda and plop my butt down in a chair and start watching some TV. My appointment time comes and goes...Lauren is still with her client. In fact, she comes out several times and is very apologetic, offering for me to work with one of her coworkers, rather than having to wait for her. I told her it's not a big deal. I'm in no rush and to take her time. Lauren finishes up with her client and starts to work with me. She grabs the keys to the vehicle I'm interested in looking at. We get out on the lot and do a walk around of the vehicle. I tell her I'm not interested in taking it out on a test drive just yet. As we walk back into the dealership, I explain I'm a no nonsense kind of guy. I'm only interested in the bottom line. I don't like to dance around the bushes. She responds that she completely understands and we start discussing figures. After coming to terms with the selling price of the vehicle I'm interested in (cost of added options, subtracting options I didn't want or need, etc), we start discussing the value of my trade in. After a bit of negotiation, we make our deal.
Lauren is a combat Army veteran (I won't hold that against her) whose communication style is exactly like mine...straight to the point. I certainly appreciated that...and certainly appreciate her service to our country. Lexus of Henderson has certainly made a smart decision hiring this superstar.
The only negative thing I have to say about this experience is the amount of time it took from the time I walked in until the time I drove off the lot with my new car. I walked in to the dealership at approximately 1:30 PM on a Friday afternoon (the Friday after Thanksgiving) and didn't drive off the lot until approximately 8:00 PM. My appointment time with Lauren was at 2:00 PM, but I don't think we started working on terms until 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM. So...taking into account that hour of time I was sitting around watching TV, that's still a good five hours. I'm absolutely not blaming Lauren on the amount of time I spent at the dealership. I just chalk it up to it being a part of the process.
I still rate this dealership five stars! I am thoroughly impressed with their level of customer service, attention to detail, and friendly workforce. I even received a follow up phone call a few days later asking me about my car buying experience, to which I replied that it was one of the best, hassle-free car purchases I have made from a dealership.
