| - From the last few reviews, it sounds like The Kitchen is exactly like the former tenant Dish. Well I've never been to Dish, but I like The Kitchen just fine. The Kitchen looks like a Bristol Farms or Whole Foods Deli minus the market. While there are some packaged foods such as pastas, wine, cheeses, and beverages, the real appeal is the deli, rotisserie, bakery and cold case.
I came here twice in one day. For lunch, I had the prime rib sandwich with dip ready au jus and pasta salad. Dinner was a mini baguette and a wedge of Humboldt Fog goat cheese. That's the appeal of The Kitchen. You can have a heavy meal with all the trimmings or you can pick out a few things here and there and have yourself a picnic.
Since I'm working close by, I know I'll be back several more times before I leave Scottsdale. But for anyone looking for a great lunch spot, the variety alone is worth the trip.
