We've been here 3 times and I can see a huge difference in my son's speech skills! As a parent who has a child who has recently been diagnosed with autism, this place is a valuable resource! It does NOT look like a friendly building on the outside and the inside looks office-like but the staff is so nice!
The 5 week Jumpstart program for newly diagnosed or on the way to diagnosis kids with autism is $500. Ask for the application for the scholarship program. Mine was cut in half! Act quickly because this program fills up fast and is only offered during the week in the mornings. Stay at home parents will find this a breeze. Working parents, work some magic.
SARRC is a great parent resource too! Call with questions and they are happy to help.
I'm excited to go every week! My son has yet to cry or throw a fit with the staff and trust me, this kid can throw a fit like a Hollywood wanna be starlet. He goes willingly with the researchers and staff with and without me being by his side.
I'm impressed with everything here! Borrow money if you can't afford this program. Find a way to be here. It's worth it! I'm working a way to get my son here for preschool - it's just a meager $1200 a month! Yikes!
