The hotel is in a decent area that is easy to miss at first. The room was large, the kitchen nice and the hardwood floors were a real plus. It is a great place for a one or two day stay; however, I would ask to be placed near people that are there for short stays as there are residents who appear to be unseemly and the rooms with the long-term guests have a strong smell of curry.
The check in was a nightmare as the clerk was nowhere to be found I do take exception to the way Maryanne handled our check in. When we arrived around 10:00 pm, there was a gentleman waiting at the counter. I asked had he been waiting long and he replied about seven minutes. Well, another ten minutes past and by this time there were four of us waiting to check in and a guest (already registered) waiting for assistance. We rang the counter buzzer twice and received no response.
When Maryanne finally appeared she stated "I did not know anyone was here, why didn't you ring the buzzer?" the gentleman that had been waiting the longest replied "I did twice." Maryanne's response was along the lines of "Well I all alone at night" or something to that effect. In short, she has us waiting, she looked disinterested and frankly appeared to have just woke up. She showed no professionalism or remorse.
I wrote the general manager, named Chiusano, and apparently he is disinterested also, he never responded!
