  • I was terribly disappointed with the massage I received from Lyndsay R. I went for a massage and a brow wax on a Saturday morning. Apparently they had left a message for me earlier that morning asking that I come early, I did not get this message. Unfortunately the receptionist didn't tell me that by going in for my brow wax before my massage I would be late and wouldn't receive a full hour. I got forty minutes and paid for a full hour. Obviously I would have postponed the wax to ensure I got the full treatment that I paid for. I used to be an office manager for a Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, and Naturopathic clinic and part of my job was to interview RMT's. Part of the interview process was to get a massage to see how the therapists flow was, if they inquired about pressure, if they were able to work muscle groups in a way that was effective but not painful etc. Lyndsay was preoccupied with something else making her massage disjointed and confused. She didn't speak to me once asking if she was using too much or too little pressure. She didn't say one thing to me. I don't want a full on conversation but you should be asked about the pressure at the very least. She was very inconsistent in her massage almost as if she was daydreaming and forgot what she was doing. It was literally the most awkward and frustrating massage I have ever received. I would almost go as far as to say it felt as though she was checking her cell phone as a lot of the work was done with one hand and was just a weird pushing action on my arm or back. Regardless to say, I will not be seeing Lyndsay again for a massage. With this said, the space is nice, clean and the brow wax was great. The esthetician was thorough and sweet. Aside from the receptionist not having forethought to tell me that it might be a good idea to postpone my wax, I may try another therapist and see how that goes.
