Well well...looks like it's been a long time since I've discussed this. The Leslieville Flea has become a bit of an east end institution now. Obviously it has out grown its humble beginnings behind the Duke. I still do enjoy going, but I won't go to the indoor flea in the Distillery because it is not dog friendly and Sunday is family time with my fur kid. I do, however, still really enjoy the outdoor pro-canine summer flea at Ashbridges Estate. This flea has tripled in size since I first began attending. The vendors sell quite a variety of stuff, and while the prices are higher than they used to be, a bargain can still be found. An added bonus is you can grab a beer and shop while sipping a cold one which is particularly nice on those hot, dog days of summer. Also Ashbridges Estate itself is quite beautiful and it is pleasant to stroll between the old massive trees. Finally, since it is a bit of a bugger to find parking around here, you can maximize your east end time and cross the street when you're done at the flea and hit the Leslieville Farmers Market, another worthwhile stop.
