rev:text	What can I really say about children's? They work miracles, the place speaks for itself really!! My daughter was transferred to their nicu from west penn 3 days ago and as soon as I walked through the doors I had a sense of relief. The doctor came out immediately after getting her settled into her room to update my boyfriend and myself on his plan of action and spoke to us in a way that two emotional sleep deprived parents would understand at 4am which was a nice change of pace from all the medical terms and numbers that had been thrown at us in other hospitals in the days leading up to that. They have private rooms for the baby's like Gracie that need a little bit more relaxation and help, and she has one nurse that is assigned just to her so we know that the care that she is receiving is consistent. I also love the fact that not only do they focus on the patients but the parents as well. Since I'm breastfeeding they provide me with free meal vouchers for all of my meals, they have a lounge for the times that you need to get away and regroup with a electronics charging station, kitchen, showers, and even washers and dryers. There's fold out beds in the room so that you can spend the night, and also 3 restaurants right in the building. For the times that you do have to be away from your baby they have cameras that you can log in to and see what's going on at certain points in the day, and you can call any time 24/7 and check up on your child's status. Having a sick baby is never fun but children's has given me hope that she will be able to recover, we are so lucky to have such an amazing facility in our city!!
