The nerve of them to call this place a Patisserie! Perhaps they need to look that word up in the dictionary because this place doesn't deserve the title in the slightest. A lot of the items are prepackaged. Big deal, you have macaroons and croissants. That does not make you a patisserie. The pastries were very limited and shortly after 8am they barely had anything and it's not like the place was even particularly busy either. The employees aren't the nicest either. They make you feel like you are disturbing them by ordering. It's totally not what I expected at all. Skip this place and go down to the Bellagio instead and go to a proper Patisserie! Jean Philippe is the best you are going to get. At least they have an actual assortment of baked goods and desserts.
That being said Payard's almond croissant was just okay and unnecessarily overpriced. Were the almonds made of gold or something? I know it's Vegas but come on! It was more of a powered sugar crumbly mess than it was worth. If you want macaroons and prepackaged cookies, chocolates, etc. this is the place but if you want actual pastries don't even bother. Seating is also very limited. Take it to go.
