| - I have volunteered for this event for the last few years. It is well run and definitely well attended. It would be nice if it was in a larger venue since there are soooo many people that attend. That probably wouldn't help the long lines in some cases for some of the vendors who share their products. That's probably saying a lot for the vendors since who in the world would stand in line for food he/she didn't want to eat?? I was told 12,000-15,000 usually attend. They still sell tickets at the event. And I heard there are even tickets that can be bought via Groupon. Someone like 45% off. I think the tickets start at $100/each.
The participating vendors, food, products, and bar people are top shelf. I always try to come starving, but it isn't hard to fill up fast. I always see quite a number of people I know.
As a volunteer, the coordinators are very friendly and professional and helpful. I truly appreciate that since I volunteered for another event a couple of days later, and I can't say the same for their coordinators, but that's another story.
This even always supports a worthy organization, and this year's worthy cause is Family Promise of Greater Phoenix, familypromiseaz.org. It provides emergency shelter and social services to families in need.
