Had to go here for a sleep study for my eight-year-old. Over the phone everything sounded great, they said that I would be able to stay with her and that we would be able to watch TV and/or read until we were calmed down to go to bed. They even asked what her normal sleep schedule was and I told them she goes to bed around 11 p.m. They scheduled us for a 9 pm check in. We got there and the tech just immediately started hooking my daughter up to the machines, there was one full size bed and two pillows. Luckily we had brought our own. As soon as my daughter was done getting hooked up she just had her lay down in the bed and then told us it was lights out. We had brought our books and hadn't even taken our normal sleeping medicine yet. It was 9:40 p.m. when I asked if I could read she told me it has to be dark and no talking. I ended up giving my daughter extra melatonin and some Benadryl because she was definitely not ready to go to bed yet. So we just laid there all night, eventually my daughter did get some sleep but I had to go to the bathroom and there was a sign on the door saying to respect other people's privacy not to leave your room. The tech had never explained anything to us so I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do if I had to go to the bathroom. The bed was also not comfortable, kind of felt like there was a layer of plastic under the sheets and possibly some air caught in between. Hard to explain but definitely not comfortable. I'm not sure how they got any normal sleep results for my daughter since she doesn't usually squeeze into a full size bed with me, nor go to bed without reading first or at least having some calm down time. Then when she woke us up in the morning she just unhooked my daughter and left the room. So we packed up and left. Definitely a different experience than what they sold me on the phone when we booked the appointment.
