I made my 1st visit yesterday as Lucky Shrike was the 1st venue for a bar crawl Event with a social Group I'm a Member of. We were seated at 2 tables on their nice back patio; I arrived at 5:30 pm (Sat.) at which time both inside and the patio were pretty barren. The inside was still pretty barren by the time we left (around 7:30) but by then the patio had filled. We had to go inside to the bar to order our drinks, which was fine. We patio patrons were accompanied by 2 large cats, one of which was quite friendly and hung around our tables for awhile.
It should be noted that the venue is fairly small both inside and on the patio and is not particularly upscale but I liked the layout of both the interior and the patio. Also, they don't really serve food per se but our large Group was given a few small bowls of mixed peanuts which was very nice, and I had checked with the venue earlier in the day and they do allow outside food to be brought in. The drink selection is fairly good considering the size of Lucky Shrike; they have several beers on draft as well as quite a few tall can and bottle selections. As my Group was on a bar crawl I just had a bottle of Moosehead but a dark beer they had on tap which I really like is St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout. They also have Happy Hour from 4 - 7 pm which our Group was able to partake in.
My consensus is that Lucky Shrike is a quite nice and well located venue which serves its patrons well.
