| - Daily Dose has been on my "to try" list for quiet a while, and I'm glad to say it did not disappoint.
I came for brunch on Fourth of July. They had some delicious sounding cocktails and great beers on tap. Unfortunately, I had to go home and study after breakfast so I did not partake. But the happy hour menu looked great, and I will definitely be back to try that. Although I did notice beers are $4 during happy hour, which seems a little high for happy hour. On the bright side, wine is $5 or you can get a bottle for $18. And happy hour is everyday from 4pm to 8pm. If only every happy hour was that long!
I ordered the breakfast nachos- chorizo, eggs, and cheese on tortilla chips. The nachos themselves were pretty good, but a little on the cold side. The portion size is also ridiculous--you could definitely share it with another person. It comes with a side of sausage gravy, which I thought would be weird, but not only was it delicious with the nachos, it was just as good by itself. I will definitely order the biscuits and gravy next time, just so I can have more of that gravy!
My boyfriend ordered the cinnamon apple pancakes. He is a bit of a pancake snob, but he loved these. He was generous enough to share a bite with me, and they are definitely praise worthy. It was like eating apple pie in pancake form.
Our server was great even though she was also working behind the bar. All in all, it was a great breakfast, and I look forward to going back!
