I haven't been to Lake Mead in over 15 years. My family and I got out of boating because our kids were heavily involved in club sports. Most of the kids are off at college and we recently purchased another boat.
This fall, the baby of the family is off to college so we decided to visit Lake Mead over the 4th of July weekend for a bon voyage trip. The lake didn't disappoint us and was beautiful as ever.
I'm writing this review because we had an unforgettable experience when we came across Bruce Nelson (Lake Mead Resort & Marina). While on the Lake Sunday afternoon, I heard the sound of my serpentine belt loosening. I limped the boat into the marina and ran into Bruce. I explained my situation and asked for a little help.
Being a Sunday afternoon, on a busy Holiday weekend I thought our trip was done. Bruce and his staff member (sorry I forgot his name) quickly came to our aid. Bruce didn't only helped, he jumped into our boat and fixed the problem in a few minutes.
When asked how much I owed, Bruce just smiled and said "just come back and enjoy our marina sometime." I thought to myself what a caring and senseless act of kindness. My family and I were very impressed with the service we received at the marina.
So if anyone wants some impressive service and hospitality, please visit the Lake Mead Resort & Marina and say hello to Bruce and his family.
