If you don't know what you're looking for and are just browsing, take some time to browse cause Ikea has a lot to look at if you go through the entire showroom. If you know what you want, cut through the short cuts to get to where you need to be! You could also do the entire "Ikea experience" by having breakfast, lunch or even dinner there! Have some meatballs! Then go buy yourself a frozen bag of meatballs to take home! The weekends are the most busiest so just be forewarned! If you have kids, they also have a kid's place so that you can drop them off and shop in peace. My kids are too young for that but I'm counting down the days until they can play there while I shop! (For real, for real!)
Ikea's furniture is modern and chic. It is also hard to put together! Just kidding, I mean, it can be since you have to follow directions without really any direction (just pictures, no reading involved!) -- so I usually have my husband do all of that!
