  • This was not my first visit to this hospital but it was my last. Intake was okay I was in distress and the guy did his best to help cut short the paperwork. Having been there before that worked out well. Next the triage nurse, who I swear to god could NOT have been less interested to be there assessed me. She mumbled and turned her head away to speak basically never once looking directly at me. On to the exam room. In came the money honey lady. Who proceeded to tell me about her situation in the past that was "just like" what I had going on. A male nurse came in to do vitals and he barely, apparently, spoke english. Next was the good doc. He literally spent more time telling me about his disdain for the practice of antibiotics being used to treat sinus infections than he did discussing the issue that brought me in. And I mean REALLY going on about it. Telling me he wouldn't tell me to stop taking it but if it were him he wouldn't take it. Finally it got to the point that I had to say yeah well I'm in no position to argue with my specialist who is quite aware of my immune status so I will be taking the antibiotics, thanks. Trip to the CT scan I was laid out and told 2 mins....10 mins later I'm still in the machine wondering what the heck is going on???? No communication. Nothing but silence. Finally the tech pulls me out and says the machine is broken and that I will have to go outside while she "fixes" it. So she puts me out in the hallway. 15 minutes later I'm still laying there. I hear some staff behind the counter visible from the hall asking "why do we have a patient in the hallway?" but no one comes over and asks me or checks on the situation. Finally the tech comes back and tells me she "fixed it" and i go back in. CT SCAN done back to room. Nurse comes back in to gets blood and starts to install Iv line???? I ask why and literally receive no answer. He pulls blood tubes....but once he's done he realizes he skipped one laying on the nightstand. Don't know if it's the continued language barrier or what. I give up. Eventually I have to pee and as I'm hardwired now to the bed I ring for help. They literally never came in. I finally unhooked myself and went. I also silenced the alarm after 10 mins of listening to it beep. Doc finally gets results and decides I need new CT scan with contrast. So here I go again back to ct. Fortunately the machine works this time...the tech explains all the sensations I will have when they inject dye and tells me she will say before she injects. Not really though. 2 mins later all the sensations start so I do the math and figure that she "forgot" to tell me. Whatever. Back into the room doc comes in and says the diagnosis...says that there isn't much they can do about it...that it would be nice if there had been an eye doc on duty this evening. And sends me home. The aspirin I took before leaving my home was the ONLY treatment I received. I left with my blood pressure still very elevated. But you won't ever know that because when you look at my chart you will see the erroneous final reading that the nurse recorded of the bp that was taken as the cuff rested somewhere in the vicinity of my wrist having fallen off....but he didn't "understand" that when I told him. Seriously I'm sorry my insurance even has to pay for this clown show.
