Today I went into Ulta looking for a mineral powder. Due to being in the process of clearing up my skin from adult acne and dark spots my dermatologist recommend that I use a mineral powder. I go into Ulta and find an associate that I am familiar w/ (short kinda thick hispanic woman that's usually always there) and ask her if there is anyone who could match me for a powder. At first she just looks at me.. Then she stocks two more small things on her cart not saying anything and then motions me w/ her hand to go to that area of the store. Her non verbal communication was taken by my friend and I as "go bitch so we can get this over with". So at this point I'm just like ok, she obviously didn't want to be bothered but I'm sorry I thought that was your job. We make it to the bare minerals section and she looks at me w/ a straight face and says "ok what kind of mineral powder do you want"? I told her I wasn't sure bc I've never used it before and then explained my skin situation. She grabs a few colors and I ask can she show me how to put it on as well and she responded "well you've worn make up before right? It's pretty much the same and easy." By now I want nothing more but to leave however, I came here w/ a purpose. Finally after a few more smart remarks and dry attitude I got what I needed and left. This visit definitely left a bad taste in my mouth as a frequent shopper. Maybe I'll start taking my business to Sephora...
