The food was decent, but this wasn't the best bbq experience this time after not having gone to Joe's for over a year. The brisket was the problem today. It just was way too fatty and not tender enough. I usually order the chopped version which is always safer, but skip the sliced style because it was really not good. I had the baked tater concoction with turkey. The turkey needed some more smoke flavor, but overall still a decent carb filled lunch. Also liked the sliced bread and the chicken is really the best meat this place serves. Freshly made root beer was also not the best version I have encountered - more of a sasparilla taste.
