We were a party of four. Reservation a must for any good restaurants in Scottsdale. We were seated outside patio with heaters which were blasting the heat. A little to hot for me and I'm usually the one who is always freezing when I dine out.
We ordered the house white zinfandel which was excellent. Very flavorful.
I ordered some crab cakes as an appetizer which we delicious.
My wife had the Penne Pesto. A rich dish with sliced potatoes and green beans with a pesto sauce that tied the dish together.
I had the Veal Saltimbocca. The classic white wine sauce with prosciutto, spinach, mushrooms & sage. The veal was tender and the sauce makes this dish a star.
The other 2 people in our party had the familiar Veal and Chicken Parmigiana dishes. The marinara sauce was "oh so good".
As you can tell Uncle Sal's has great food. My only pet peeve was the amount of time to get our food. We waited an hour for the main course. I know, Sat. night. Packed house. If they could pick up the pace this establishment would get that extra (5 star) rating.
