| - One thing I have always loved about Whole Foods is that, not only does it have quality products, but it also has the best customer service. Today was one day where the customer service went above and beyond.
I was in this store looking for a few supplements I had heard about and am thinking of giving to our Dog, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer last week. While in the store, I was having a hard time finding one of items and asked the gentleman sitting at the computer in the supplements section for help. The gentleman walked me over to the aisle I needed and spent a few minutes educating me about Manuka Honey and the differences between that and regular orange blossom honey. He knew what he was talking about and was incredibly knowledgeable.
The man then asked me what I was intending on using the Manuka Honey for, and I told him about our dog. This man, a complete stranger, just looked at me, and then gave me a big hug. He then told me he had lost his dog back in October to cancer and that he understood how I was feeling. He then started to tear up. Then I started to tear up. Next thing I know, there we are, two total strangers crying and hugging in front of the honey.
We were both just two dog lovers going through a hard time and, for a brief moment, we were there to comfort each other before going our separate ways. I have never experienced such an amazing moment of pure human connection.
I don't know his name, but I just wanted to share this and say "Thank you, Whole Foods Man". This is a moment that I will always remember.
