| - Boba shops be on the creep lately around these parts... but I'm not complaining! The boba hustle is real and it only makes sense to stake claim on uncharted territories, like Henderson area.
TEASON may be a tiny little thang, but it packs a lot of punch. It surely is a contender when it comes to location (hello Green Valley), affordability (all drinks are $3.95 standard), and taste (good so far in my book). And yes, the plastic bottles are both portable and photogenic.
I had missed their grand opening, but when their second round of BOGO weekend rolled around, I took advantage of sampling their menu. Here are some of my drink reviews:
-- SEA SALT BLACK COFFEE: Yum. I don't usually drink my coffee black, but the sea salt cream diminishes the bitterness. I didn't mix mine entirely either. My technique is to chew boba, sip coffee, then find clumps of sea salt cream as the chaser. Don't judge.
-- SEA SALT GREEN TEA: Not currently listed on menu, but they'll be adding it! This is probably my favorite drink. I'm a sucker for sea salt cream and the floral undertone makes for a light and refreshing treat.
-- COCONUT THAI TEA: What a great union! I only had a small sample, but could discern the two levels. First the thai tea, then the coconut hits. This was my dad's favorite drink.
-- MATCHA GREEN MILK TEA: Classic! Not too watered down like other places.
-- THAI GREEN MILK TEA: Another green drink... but probably my least favorite. I couldn't quite pinpoint the taste, so I convinced myself that Fruit Loops is what it resembled.
-- CHAMANGO SLUSH: If you don't feel like doing milky, then try fruity/spicy/tart. This was my first time drinking a chamango so I don't have anything to compare it to, but there's a lot going on in there! The mango pieces tasted fresh, but were sparse. Let the tamarind straw sit out and melt a little.
AMBIANCE: Minimalistic. No restrooms. Feels like a run-and-go, not a stay-awhile type of place. The wall full of clocks declaring it's tea time is a visual treat. On the opposite side, the namesake signage makes for a good background, too. Side note: Parking is a hassle during peak times.
SERVICE: Friendly so far. First visit it took awhile to get our drinks, but it was worth the wait. Second time, it was faster. One of the cashiers Linda, even remembered me. Check them out! Hope this place sticks around awhile!
