| - "Dessert, anyone?" tends to be the follow up question of any ramen dinner outing with my friends and boyfriend. Traditionally, we end up hitting up Marble Slab and calling it a night. However, one evening, I noted a sign belonging to Game of Cheese that drew me in. (As it would to any self-admitted Game of Thrones fan.) and made a u-turn in the direction of the plaza. As it would turn out, Game of Cheese was a restaurant. We were making our departure out of the parking lot, when my boyfriend blurted out and frantically pointed at a sign, "BABE. THEY HAVE BUBBLE WAFFLES." Cue the slamming of the breaks and the shoddy reversal to assess the sign and we were parking the car and running inside. This particular location is about the size of a shoe box, albeit an adorable shoe box.
There are a few tables where you can sit and with a bit of maneuvering, we were four bodies crowded around a tiny table patiently awaiting the announcement of our ordered waffles. I got a traditional bubble waffle with a scoop of red bean ice cream. The waffle was great, although the red bean was a bit freezer burned but not completely off putting. I wouldn't necessarily say it was up there with the bubble waffles I traditionally get at Pacific Mall, but this place is definitely a quick fix for the times I don't have the energy to deal with P-Mall's parking lot, so I'll definitely be back again. They also offer a few other unique bubble waffle fixings such as Oreo cookie, banana Nutella, chocolate chip, sesame and red bean.
