After a super epic fail at Hash House A Go Go (2+ hour wait) we decided to go for Round 2 of pho. The closest one was Bosa 1.
PLEASE NOTE: There is NO PHO here. Fail #2.
Anyhoo, I was pretty darn disappointed there wasn't pho. I browsed the menu and went with the broken rice with shredded pork and egg quiche. The people that run this place are fluent in English not to mention beyond friendly. The owners are originally from Garden Grove so they decided to name the place Bosa, after the infamous street Bolsa in OC. I like that they leave a small pitcher of fish sauce so you can concoct your own sauce. Their egg rolls weren't oily and tasted wonderful. Luckily, my friend gave me some of hers so I didn't have to order more.
HOLY mother of hell. This place makes quite possibly THE BEST com tam. The rice was actually broken rather than the traditional rice we all eat. The egg quiche was super thick, soft, and so juicy. Normally, places cook the egg quiche and let it sit out and you can tell by the crusty outer egg shell that starts to form. It was literally like biting into an egg custard. Party in your mouth let me tell ya! They also have this cute little vegetable arrangement for each plate. Sort of like a boat made out of lettuce with slices of cucumbers and pickled carrots and daikon. There is not one bad thing I can say about this place except maybe they should have a location here in the OC!
Come to Bosa 1 if you want phenomenal food and service. CASH ONLY!
