| - This used to be tiny blasé office coffee shop, and it closed. Now, it's a brand-new place with a plain name, a new owner and with wonderful offerings.
First, they sell a local roast, Bernardi's, which is here in Cleveland. Second, this place got a makeover since the other shop left: and I felt like doing cartwheels when I looked around. There are, for purchase, shelves of Torani and Ghirardelli syrups, bagged whole roasted beans, plenty of cookies and snacks, fresh bagels, muffins and pastries, a bean grinder, a top of the line espresso machine...there's a lot to get excited about it this coffee shop. There's also plenty of tables and chairs so you can have a break.
The owner really impressed me; he chatted with me about roasts and barista techniques, and he prepared my coffee with care. You'll get your drink quickly here, but without waiting around in a assembly line like Starbucks.
But I like Frappuccinos, you say. Well, this place makes frozen frappes as well, along with iced lattes, cold press, espresso, and fruit smoothies with FRESH FRUIT. Not a syrupy gloop. You can even pick your own banana if you want.
I purchased a coffee of the day (he will put cream and sugar or whatever you want in it for you, and stir it so you save time) and it was fresh tasting. I also bought two bags of whole bean FLAVORED coffee, which is super difficult to find nowadays. There are about 10-12 flavors to choose from. I got the Southern Pecan and Dutch Chocolate Fudge, and he ground them both for me for my drip machine.
The owner was friendly and accommodating. The shop was so clean and bright. And the best part (I saved the best for last): the prices! Fresh Kenya AA for $9!? Columbia beans, $9!? And it's local, and it's GOOD. Smoothies and fancy drinks are also at least $1 less than Starbucks.
If you can't tell, I feel like I found a diamond when I saw what this shop offers.
If you are a coffee connoisseur, you need to check this place out.
