  • I am writing an updated review for a reason and it's to help you guys. Anytime you see a business with so many five star ratings that should be a red flag. This office does offer you compensation for a review. The workers there are very friendly, it is very clean and they even offer you a welcome little bag when you become their patient. I had no issues with billing or the front desk. The issue that I had was they had a doctor there I first saw during a teeth cleaning, that I didn't like, the diagnosis he gave me made absolutely no sense. My mom being in the dental field for over 10 years was also very confused with what he advised me to do. Six months later I came back for another cleaning and they had another doctor, which this time did an amazing job and I really liked him, but I had completely forgotten his name once I got home. So when I was scheduling the appointment to get my tooth fixed by that doctor I liked, they gave me his name and it didn't ring a bell, so I had assumed it was the first doctor I saw that was dreadful. I had told the front desk how horrible he was and I wasn't happy with his diagnoses and I didn't want to go with him, so then they gave me the doctors name of Charles Clausen and I thought to myself, this must be the guy I last saw who I liked! Schedule me with him please!! He owns the practice he must have good experiences, it must be him! It turned out that I never even met Charles Clausen, and I completely told the other poor doctor off (the one I initially wanted the appointment with). I felt horrible!!! Their process with doctors is horrible because they easily schedule you with any doctor that's available! Anyways it gets worse. Dr. Charles opened up my tooth (root canal) and there was a really bad infection, that I had for over year. Due to financial reasons I had to delay this treatment unfortunately. I was put on a course of antibiotics. I come back to the doctors office after week and there was still infection, so I was put on another course of antibiotics. Then I come back and I guess I was not very confident with his response to me, when I had asked him if the infection was gone. He told me "I'm sure it is after two courses of antibiotics" -something along the lines of that. This was not very convincing especially once the tooth is fully finished and closed up. I didn't even think twice to even ask because root canals scare the living hell out of me and I trusted him. The entire procedure wasn't followed by the book, a dam wasn't used, just the entire process wasn't as sanitary as I had before. (this isn't my first root canal by the way, the last one was done by a very skilled dentist, with my moms helps, maybe this is why I had such a good treatment, I don't know... but, shouldn't everyone be treated well with every precaution possible from spreading bacteria?) Anyways, after a couple weeks the repair was completed and I had my temp crown on. I started feeling the same pain I had initially when I made the appointment. I was scared because I'm thinking oh my god there must be a crack in the root or something went wrong in there. I still had nerve pain even though the tooth was dead. (there is no way to really check this because it's not gonna show on x-rays; I've had other dentists take x-rays of this tooth and they didn't see anything). I had mentioned this to the front desk and she told me she would write it in my chart, when I came in for an official crown fitting no one even asked me about the pain I was having and frankly I didn't even mention it again. At this point I was already so exhausted I didn't feel like having to pay for another x-ray. Several months have passed and I still have pain in my tooth and still can't eat chocolate on my right hand side because the amount of pain I have. According to a couple sources I think my next option is to get an implant. Just be careful when you see reviews that have so many high stars there's a high chance that they're buying your review. I most likely won't be back to this office, especially since I posted this review things might get awkward. $1,000 out of pocket and I'm still in fricken pain. ** update 4/2017 I went to a new dentist with higher technology and I saw the X-ray of my tooth that this dentist did and there was a gap inside my root canal near the post. Looks like this dentist didn't pack the tooth enough and now there's a pocket that isn't filled inside the tooth. Sighs, still in pain by the way but now no dentist with perform a 3rd root canal. :(
