  • This review is for the 2015 half marathon. Like most of the reviews for this specific race, it was my least favorite I've ever done- and one of the most expensive. I thought it would be really cool to run the Strip at night, but because this was a destination race, it made the day of race really boring. No vegas fun could be had because of the race. If the expo was that morning, that would have been great, so then we could have arrived that day and not wasted a night of "no fun" in Vegas the day prior. Not everyone is there to party, which I totally get. But if you're trying to make this a race and fun weekend, it can get a little tricky. The weather for the race was awful! Nothing RnR can help, obviously- but worth mentioning. The first few miles were fun, but then the race takes you into a dark weird business/residential/creepy bridal rental shops area. Finish line is so far from anywhere to grab a drink or get food- it was a loooooong way back to the hotel. A for effort, but won't be returning for that specific race. Glad I did it once, though!
