  • Yorkdale is considerably higher end than most other malls you'll find around here. It's filled with designer stuff, exclusive stuff, and sometimes just plain old expensive stuff. Aside from these types of stores, though, there's also some basic stores that you'd find in any given mall. Bath and Body Works, Ardene, H&M... you get the picture. Yorkdale has a lot of stores in common with Scarborough Town Centre, I noticed. However, it has much more similarities to the Eaton Centre than it does to STC. What I liked a lot about Yorkdale is that it still looks new, fresh, and modern. You know how some malls can slowly get that dingy, outdated feel? That's not happening here. Yorkdale's been renovated and expanded frequently over the last few years, and it shows. Even the building itself is classy. Yorkdale has its own subway station on the YUS line, but if you're located in Scarborough, do not ride the subway all the way around unless you're willing to waste over an hour. Go to York Mills station, and take either the 96 bus or the 165 bus (they go the exact same way) to Wilson Station, then transfer to the 29 bus and get off at Dufferin and Bridgeland. Then, you'll have yourself a nice little walk to the mall. (Lot of transfers, huh? Depending on where you are, that can take as long as riding the subway all the way around. Public transit really isn't the way to go here. Drive if you can.)
