Pretty small gym located right above TTC Islington station in the office plaza complex. It gets pretty busy through out the weekday as every equipment station is occupied during this time by the following people:
- Protein shake gulpers (You will see more protein shake drinking than actual working out here)
- Guys comparing their bodies with their male companion's body at the work out stations
- Gorgeous women (ranging from their 20s to 50s) with active lifestyles (very admirable)
- And mostly people who genuinely want to work out for health purposes (also very admirable)
If you pass by the strength work out section, you will often here loud bear orgasms when walking by but do not be alarmed; it's not actually a bear but merely some guy who is a "bro" that stacked too many weights for him to handle on the bench press bar prompting him to drop the heavy bar on the ground followed by a visible sense of shame on the bro's face.
I've been going here for last 3 years and have been reluctant to stay at this club as they can improve on so many things like cleaner change rooms and showers, and also maintaining gym equipment. The main reasons I have stayed is the "corporate discount and benefits" I got for my monthly membership and it is a convenient location for me, otherwise I would have chosen a different gym. Do be warned that this gym gets really humid once you walk in here as they lack an air conditioning system.
I personally believe this gym can improve its incentives when they have referral programs (e.g. Refer 2 friends to this gym and get a $3 water bottle with Goodlife Fitness on it instantly). Instead of these small incentives, I would recommend just waiving at least a month of membership fees for someone who refers 2 new members.
