I heard this location was now offering poke bowls so I decided to drive there. (The Leslie one is closer for me). I get there and I notice the guy at the poke station is putting plastic wrap on the containers and actively avoiding me. I stand there looking at the board seen as he's not acknowledging me, then I see poke is only offered at certain times. Yes I'm serious. 11-2, then 4- something. I look at my phone. It's now 2:01. He seriously couldn't have served me? I was just before two but I guess that wasn't good enough. I wish I had known that there was a time limit on the poke. I would of hurried.
I decided to get something else. I walked by the sushi section. One looked good but i wasn't sure what was in it, so I continued to the middle take out area. The kale and I'm assuming tofu was missing it's label, so I didn't get it. I went to the other side and decided on a salad. I got spinach, romaine and their kale mixture salad. (Kale salad at Leslie is much better). There was no labels on most of the salad dressings. I'm trying to make a healthy choice by getting a salad and no labels on the dressings mean who knows what I could be getting. Something high in sugar or sodium. I just wanted olive oil but couldn't find it, so I did without.
Their meat and seafood section is really nice but sadly nothing jumped out at me today. I wandered around picking up the odd item here and there but nothing too exciting. I went back to the ready made section and got an Italian meat flat bread and mushroom & mozzarella quiche. Some of their charcuterie items were greatly overpriced compared to metro. Actually most of their items were higher than metro. I got a truffle goat cheese. Other than that nothing exciting. Cashier not that friendly. I would return here but it's only to get the poke bowl. Otherwise I'll just go to Leslie.
