| - When I get a pedicure, I prefer not to be deafened by really loud music, and I tend to shy away from places that are bars disguised as nail salons. I really like Midtown Nails because it's a comfy salon where you can chat with everyone or read a magazine, and the music is at a pleasant background level.
Soparry does my pedicures and they are flawless! It's been 4 weeks since my last one, and not a single chip! She always remembers my preferences, and gives a great foot/leg massage.
Lisa, the shop owner, does my nails, and she also does a fantastic job. I got my first set of acrylic nails in 1988, so I've met A LOT of nail magicians, and Lisa is simply the best. I've been cut, scraped, had fill-ins that made my fingers ache for days, and had some heinous-looking blobs applied to my fingertips. However, Lisa gave me great-looking acrylics, then gel nails with none of the previous issues. And NO BREAKAGE!!
Unfortunately, an old allergy to my nails has come back, and I had to give them up. But Lisa suggested gel polish with extra coats, which is a nice compromise.
The pedicure chairs are brand new and very nice. There is also a large selection of both regular and gel polishes. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, so give Midtown Nails a try!
