  • On New Year's Eve, my grandmother's cat became lethargic and incontinent. It was very abnormal for him. I was concerned he had a urethral obstruction so I took him immediately to this facility since they were the only ones open in the area. When first arriving, we warned them RK is fractious. They took him in the back to evaluate his condition. About an hour later, they informed us he was too fractious to evaluate and will need sedation. The technician informed us there are a lot of patients waiting as well, so it may be a while. They allowed us to stay in an examination room while waiting for the veterinarian to see RK. After about 30 minutes, a receptionist came in to check on us to make sure RK was doing alright. However, that was the last time someone checked on us for the next 4.5 hours! We waited 6 hours for a veterinarian to come in to the room. The veterinarian was extremely apologetic about the long wait time. She expressed her concerns for RK and explained her initial thoughts prior to examination. She told us what she thinks RK may be presenting, the worst she imagines he's presenting, and then gave us options. She gave us a large quote, but assured us they will try to keep treatment costs as low as possible. Since RK needed to be sedated for his examination they gave us the option to leave him and call us with updates as they go. They asked us to put 50% of the lower estimate ($900) before leaving, so $450. The doctor called with updates as promised and gave recommendations. RK did not have an obvious obstruction so the veterinarian gave us the option to complete further diagnostics at our primary veterinarian. When my grandmother picked up RK, we had a big surprise of them crediting us back money! They did not even charge half of the initial treatment plan, even though they did more than what was originally told to us. They sent records to our primary care facility on time as they promised so our veterinarian new exactly what was going on with RK when he was brought in. The veterinary care was good, my only complaint was I felt they could have communicated more about delayed wait times.
