| - It's been a long time since I've been to the ACC, last time was for a Heritage Classic game, which, as any hockey fan will know, isn't the most rip-roarin' event to attend at the ACC. Still, when free tickets to a Leafs game (booooo) came up, my boyfriend offered to take me and I really couldn't say no, even though my team wasn't playing.
I had some concerns about the seats and the view... watching hockey at home is a great experience, what with the close-up shots, the HD feed and the commentary to keep you on your toes and informed at all times. I was surprised that sitting in the upper bowl we still had a good view of the ice and were able to pick out what was happening.
We didn't get any food but I do know that prices at the ACC are generally VERY high so we purposely ate at a restaurant before we went. One of the biggest drawbacks was the constant up and down because people were drinking beer and having to pee lots at the game, so we were constantly getting up and sitting back down. This got annoying, especially when the row in front of us was doing that and thus blocking our view of the ice. This is likely unavoidable at ANY arena so its not a huge deal.
