Was in area on work so made a trip to the Indian and HD dealerships. I have had a number of HD and great bikes but now have an Indian Roadmaster. The HD store was awesome, huge, three stories and a great selection of bikes and merchandise. Even has a tattoo parlor and apparently a movie theater area on the lower level. The ladies that waited on us for our purchases were great.
I walk in with my Indian Jacket on and the first "sales guy" (use that term lightly) says to me "you know Indian is going to go out of business". Hummm why I ask "Because when they stopped making the Victory MC, all aftermarket dealers are mad and won't make parts for them". I am sure after market companies will stop making parts for Indian now because they are "mad". I don't thinks so AND this guy doesn't even know me, doesn't even know if I MIGHT be interested in purchasing a HD yet he "DIS" Indian. What a crock.
I asked him where the Indian Dealership was knowing it was less than a mile away to see what he would say. Of course he then told me he knew people that worked there and quit.. they can't keep help.... I asked where the dealership is and of course he said he didn't know. Now there is a sales technique I would use, By the way, if he happens to read this, Indian is doing quite well and after market parts are available!
I would give the "sales" guy a 1 and the dealership store a 5. It is quite impressive. So I will be nice ... give it a 4 and yes it is definitely a classy place.
