  • BAH HUMBUG! I can only hope this was a bad experience because the restaurant was overwhelmed with the holiday traffic. Went in on Monday night with our family for dinner. Our server, Ana, greeted us and took our drink order. She seemed very stressed with the amount of tables she had. Some time later she returned with the drinks and offered to take an appetizer order. We gave her our choices (bavarian pretzels and chicken nachos). She asked if we also knew what we wanted for our entrees. We told her yes and gave her those choices as well. After about 20 minutes when nothing had arrived and our beverages sitting empty she stopped by the table and asked if we wanted something additional to drink. We ordered another round and inquired about our apps. She said they were almost ready. My wife said, " Ok, I just want to make sure our entrees don't come out at the same time." Ana assured us they wouldn't because of how she had rung it all in. Well, 5 minutes later guess what happened?! Yup, it all came out within 60 seconds of one another. Ana must have sensed our frustration and apologized for the "kitchen being overwhelmed!" The kitchen? No accountability on her part whatsoever! Ok, so you messed up or your kitchen messed up, who cares the important thing is to make things right for the customer, right? Ana's solution, "If there are any apps you don't want I can take them away and take them off your bill." REALLY? How about, "I'm really sorry about the timing of your food. Please enjoy the apps on us and I'll have them taken off your bill." We told her to take the nachos away since they were actually COLD, clearly sat in the window waiting for other food to finish. She did and they were taken off the bill. Final result - Our check was presented with no mention of the nachos on it so she honored her commitment there. Everything else was on it though, FAIL! My wife did fill out a comment card and gave it to the hostess on our way out. Will be interesting to see if she here's back from any of the managers.
