  • Emmett's Fix-It Shop (a nod to the classic Mayberry handyman) is tops in my book when it comes to TV repair. When my Samsung HDTV started having issues powering up, I called several shops around the Valley including the one recommended by Samsung Customer service. They were all significantly pricier than Emmett's. When I called Emmett's, I was greeted by a friendly customer service rep. I was told that even though they're based out of Litchfield Park, they service the entire Valley. I gave them my TV's model number a brief summary of the problem and they immediately gave me a complete estimate. No "Diagnostic fee, service call fee, parts fee, then we can tell you what the job will cost..." Just a straight up estimate. And Emmett's valued my time as well. After I made an appointment, I got a specific time, not a 4-5 hour window when they might show up. I also got a few update phone calls on the day of the appointment to let me know their schedule and when they would arrive. Their field technician, who was friendly and professional, got right to work when he got to my house. He explained everything he was doing, in laymen's terms, while he was doing it. He gave me a 90 day warranty on the work, and even re-calibrated the color on my set. And to top it off, the work came in under the estimate. Nice job, Emmett's!
