  • My girlfriend and I had coupons for a day at Wild Water kingdom (WWK) in the month of June, we decided to go on Sunday June 29th, 2013 from 3-6. The parking lot was covered in rockers, but overall pretty big. There were a lot of cars when we arrived, but I looked in the front first and still found a spot. They do charge $10 for parking, which is understandable, but free is always nice. There was not much of a line when we arrived, so we got our tickets and entered the theme park quickly. WWK offers lockers for a $10 deposit and $5 once the key is returned, the lockers was the size of my soccer bag. I was worried about the key jabbing into one of our private parts and ended up tying it around the wrist. We started off with the wave pool, overall it was fun jumping and splashing in the synthetic waves with a bunch of other people trying not to worry about how dirty the pool might be. We then moved on to the rides section of the park. We skipped over Cyclone (Body Slides) because the tubes that people down were covered in some brown stuff the tubes were blue, so we decided we'd skip the ride for our safety. We also skipped White Lightning & The Cliff (Speed Slides), I have been on them before, but it scared us so we both moved on. The last 3 rides on the right which required the tube were fun, they were not the same setup as I last remembered them. At the bottom where rides exit are a bunch of blue tubes that people can borrow for the ride. Corkscrew, Side Winder and Little Twister required no tube, just our bodies. I went down a couple times and had a blast and convinced the gf to try once, she enjoyed herself too. We ended in the lazy river, they have pink tubes in the pool for people to relax and enjoy. The gf and I took turns in the tube, we had fun. A lot of people in the lazy river seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. During the lazy river we noticed they had rock climbing as well from 12-6 I believe and we just missed it. I wish we visited that section first, seems like it could have been fun. On the opposite side of the rides was Caribbean Cove Stage, there was an entertainer performing at the time we passed by. It seemed like a fun area to dance and enjoy the music, but we didnt end up going as it was closing time. Overall, my gf and I had a A-OK fun time at WWK! Seems like a fun place to take the kids, families and couples. We went in with little to no expectations and had a great time! Future considerations: -Arriving and experiencing the park earlier (We underestimated the amount of things to do within only 3 hours) -Swimming goggles would have helped me keep my eyes open and protecting my contacts.
