I was going to be in the Annex and I ran out of Dragonwell and was feeling like something different but still in the green variety. While I like the fruity ones as a cold variety for having "to go" especially on hot days my staple is hot, green and in the mornings usually.
I popped in to find they had a promo (they always have a promo) of colored tins free with 100g purchase. I usually buy 100g at a time anyway but I had wanted the darker blue tin because it's closer to the Maple Leafs color and I have high hopes for them this year (like the sucker Leaf fan I am).
I like the Genmaicha blend which is a Japanese green that is mixed with popped brown rice as opposed to Dragonwell which is the wok cooked grassy green. I like the flavor and aroma of the Genmaicha which I've had before but not recently.
This store is pretty much your standard David's in that the service is fast, friendly and yes I was reminded to have my frequent steeper card scanned (I had forgotten).
Good location for Annex/Koreatown as my usual store is the Yonge-Dundas location.
