I was so happy to finally see Downtown Summerlin open as it's semi close to me and it is beautiful. I love that it's not super crowded (yet) like Town Square. However, this place has a few problems. I am completely understanding of new stores and restaurants and I realize it takes some time to find your groove BUT it's been months now and the lack of customer service is seriously ridiculous. I can walk into almost any store, with no greeting, get stared up and down and then watch the employees walk away. Now, I realize that they are dealing with the Summerlin snobs who probably don't treat them very well, but come on, when a customer smiles at you, have the decency to smile back and say hello. This area of town causes me anxiety because people are SO rude and think they are SO much better than everybody else! They will walk right into you because they aren't looking where they are going and then look at you like "why are you in my way?". It's horrible. I don't know that this shopping center will ever do very well due to the fact that non Summerlin snobs don't like spending time in Summerlin. It's so sad. On a more positive note I do love how many stores are located here.
