| - The Desert Botanical Gardens is located in Papago Park and spans 140 acres. The Desert Botanical Gardens is one of the top attractions in Phoenix. The five trails are beautifully landscaped so you can discover and experience the Sonoran Desert and the gorgeous desert plants. The gardens also focus on education, research, and conservation efforts. If you are a member of a Botanical Garden, you may have reciprocal privileges with nearly 300 gardens, arborera, and conservatives, such as the Desert Botanical Garden, which allows for free admission. Also, there is free admission the second Tuesday of every month from 8-8. They had a nice garden center where you can purchase plants to take home. Check the website for special exhibitions featuring artists or even butterflies, concert series, classes, and culinary events. The gardens are open daily from 8-8:00. The gardens open at 7:00 AM for members on Wednesday and Sunday. www.dbg.org
