Not exactly my idea of a well-spent Sunday night, but the staff and Dr. Conforti took great care of me during my Sunday night visit to OVH's emergency room.
Earlier in the day I came down with the worst sickness I could imagine -- a stomach virus. Knowing I was dehydrated with no relief of my symptoms in sight I decided it was time to go to the hospital for treatment. My mom (bless her soul) came to pick me up, and we waited in the lobby for about 15-20 minutes before being seen. The receptionist at the counter was not overly friendly, she said few words to us, but she wasn't rude. The lobby wasn't the most comfortable, but it felt pretty tidy at least.
When I was taken back to be seen, my nurse was immediately comforting to me and I knew I was in good hands. The other nurses that checked in on me after his shift ended as well as Dr. Conforti were incredibly nice, and I didn't have to call them in for anything. I was brought a warm blanket and anything I had requested and my hospital bed was also surprisingly comfortable. The only negative was the TV and sound system, and my mom didn't look super comfortable sitting in the uncomfortable chairs at the foot of my bed. Overall it was a good experience, especially considering the friendliness of the medical professionals that helped me. After 5 hours of treatment I was sent home to finish recovering at home!
