  • Got outstanding service when I swung by the other day. I decided to take up longboarding with zero experience, and I have to say the patience and helpfulness I received made me really glad that I'd started it all here! As long as you know the realistic price range of what you're willing to spend, any newbie should feel more than comfortable heading here and asking for help from the staff. I got a really good explanation of what I'd need to start off with, and was recommended lots of different boards, then got to try out a few to thin down my choices. After my decision (and picking up a much-needed helmet and skate tool), they informed me about a free longboarding clinic event that Royal Board Shop hosts on Wednesdays to help newcomers learn the basics. Really felt like I got bang for my buck from people who are eager to spread the longboard love. These are really knowledgeable and friendly staff members who really seem to care about their sport! Top-notch!
