| - If I could give 1/2 stars, this would be a 4.5 star review.
It is a very nice Residence Inn on the Mayo Hospital campus in Phoenix, AZ. I stayed here for 19 days because my spouse was having surgery at Mayo and we stayed here for the pre-op testing and post-op recovery.
The rooms are well sized with a sitting area, full, but small kitchen, with microwave, stove, full sized refrigerator, and dishwaster.
The breakfast that comes with the room every morning was generous and plentiful albeit a little bit repetitive after 19 days. There's scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes for the hot dishes as well as an assortment of cold items and juice and coffee. Occasionally there would be biscuits and gravy and for 2 out of the 19 days there was corned beef hash.
My only criticism of the place and hence not a five star rating is the hotel's propensity to book large groups of high school sports teams into the property on the weekends. Even though the hotel is well sound proofed, no amount of sound proofing can handle rambunctious high school kids having parties and running up and down the halls late at night.
