  • I recently got married to my fiance of 2 and a half years. We live in Las Vegas, and wanted to get away for a couple nights after the wedding. Some call that a honeymoon...From what I have heard when you tell hotels that you are getting married they usually do something nice for you. Well, not the Aliante. I made the reservation for a Monday and Tuesday night in March 2 months before. I'm a teacher and that was when I was off for spring break. I called the Friday before the reservation and spoke to someone to confirm. I told her that I was confirming and that it would be our honeymoon. Her response was, "okay is that all?" and she laughed at me. Since I had prepaid (silly me for budgeting) I just told myself this was one person and went through with the arrangements as planned. We got married around 11AM, had pictures, went to the reception, and got to the hotel at 8PM (on a Monday). I had made the reservation for a King Bed Non Smoking. So, on my honeymoon night after making reservations 2 months in advance and confirming 3 days in advance they did not have my room. Also, they did not upgrade me. Instead my new husband and I spent our first night as a married couple on a tiny uncomfortable mattress in a substandard room. I guess if you are coming into town and want to stay a night and your standard is equivalent to Days Inn or Motel 6 this is a pretty nice place with pretty bad customer service. Save your money and get much better service and stay ANYWHERE else. If a hotel can't get your reservation right under these circumstances what can it do right??? On top of that they said we would be "upgraded" the 2nd night, it was only higher level floor of the room I reserved. Our "upgraded" room was connected to a suite, which had a huge television, jacuzzi jetted tub, kitchenette, and was basically hooked up. They had left that room open to our adjoining room. Maybe to let us know where we stand in their opinion. That room was empty the whole time we were there. I felt like it was a slap to the face. All they had to do was have housekeeping clean that room instead of ours. But, I guess we don't matter to them. We ended up arguing about the reservation and it practically ruined out honeymoon... After getting home things have been much better. We stayed March 25th and it has taken me until now to calm myself when thinking about this awful place enough to write this review. Never again.
