  • I used to rent from Alamo all the time. Their cars are just as clean as all the other brands (ie. windows covered with hard water spots), staff is always friendly, and they are competitive on rates - especially when combined with a Costco membership. I will most likely shop around for our next rental as they have now started putting ALL the keys that were made for that car on one tamper proof ring. In the case of my Ford Fusion rental, I had to carry 2 thick fob-style keys, 2 emergency keys, a valet key, and Alamo's large plastic identification tag in my pocket. Way to much bulk to carry around and very uncomfortable in my pocket. Making a customer be responsible for not losing all the keys because you can't be bothered with it is not acceptable. Can you imagine what the charge would be if you happen to lose 5 keys? For me, this is a deal breaker.
