  • If I could give zero stars I would. Two Men and Headache. This moving company was recommended to us by a number of my husband's work colleagues. The process started off easy; they returned phone calls and were easy to coordinate. Two Men bills themselves as a premium moving service - that's why we chose them. Notwithstanding that their prices are somewhat higher than other competitors. On moving day, the team showed up about an hour late. It was a simple move - just down the street from a smaller place to a larger place. In fact there was very little furniture to move as we were replacing the majority of it. Our anticipation was that the premium moving company would come with some tools to take some basic furniture apart - like our bed. We have moved lots, all movers bring tools. All movers are accustomed to disassembling simple furniture to get it out of the door. The movers, upon their late arrival, had no tools. We had a few tools still at the old house. The movers refused to disassemble our bed. They watched as my husband, while on a conference call for work, struggled with one hand to disassemble it with the wrong tools - because the movers didn't have their own tools. Finally, when one offered to help, he literally snapped our bed in half. So much for the bed. We spent the next two weeks sleeping on the floor on a mattress in our new home until a new bed arrived. After mangling our bed, we casually called the moving company, without revealing that the movers were at the time, in the process of discarding our ruined bed, to enquire about their service. We asked if they carry tools: yes always was the response. We asked if they disassemble furniture: of course we do, what mover doesn't was the response. . . Interesting?? One may expect that the moving company would wish to protect its reputation by making right and/or compensating us for the damage done - that is quite basic. The moving company carries liability insurance for just that. We tried for a couple weeks to speak to someone and settle the matter. We have since given up. It's not worth the hassle nor do we wish to dwell on the pathetic outcome of the premium service that Two Man claims to provide. Our move cost about $1,000. It then cost about another $3,000 to replace our bed. Hire someone else; Two Men suck.
