  • Exotic pets is a great place to find pets ranging from reptiles to chinchillas. They have an array of supplies, too, so if you need something specific for your pet, they'll have it. I went here for my hedgehog and despite their living conditions in the cage the second hedgehog (I exchanged mine cause the first one was aggressive with me. not their fault at all) is sweet and friendly. They just shouldn't house all the males in one place because they will fight, and my little Rex has a battle wound on his forehead probably from fighting while going through puberty. anyways, other than that little side note their place is good for an exotic pet store. Although Pet Kingdom is cleaner in my opinion, this place is cheaper for exotic pets by at least 50 to 100 dollars compared to Pet Kingdom. so, if you want a ferret or prairie dog as a companion, they have them. Now people may read this and go "what do you mean it's not as clean as their competitor?" Well, the first time I went there we were looking around for about an hour, and they have an area where there are birds and supplies against the wall and on the floor. Behind the pet bedding packages, as I was looking around there I noticed a white mouse scurrying into the packaging and asked a clerk if that was the store pet. Nope. It got loose somehow. On top of that there's a lot of dust and dirt in corners and on the floors near the supply areas, but the areas where the pets are housed are clean. The ferret cage has a litter box with about 4 of them (at the time) in one place, which isn't a big deal for ferrets, but their litter box was kind of full. Same thing with the hedgehog pen, poopies everywhere. There wasn't a wheel to keep them occupied either. Just their little igloo, food, and water. They could burrow in the bedding but I think a wheel would be nice for them to have. Small things like that caught my attention, but the staff is awesome there in terms of assistance and information. They are really great in terms of customer service, price and availability, so this is the place to go to save a buck on an exotic pet. Their animals are definitely healthy and well cared for overall, so I have no complaints on that. I'd just clean up the store a bit more, maybe get rid of the crickets bouncing around and the mice getting loose, clean up the cobwebs in the corners of the store and dust the supply area near their birds, cause that's where it was all dusty and cobwebby. If you want an exotic pet, check here and compare with the other exotic pet store first. Most of the time this place beats the competitor's prices. From chinchillas, monkeys, ferrets, prairie dogs, hedgehogs, reptiles, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and other strange animals, this is one of the only two pet stores in Vegas to get them. Have fun, and happy pet shopping!
