I have tried 20 Lounge a few times now for both manicures and pedicures. I have never been very impressed by the results or the customer service, but I always want to give them another try because the facility is so clean, beautiful and convenient. I decided to try them this past Friday for my birthday and made appointments well in advance (a week out) as I learned that it can be difficult to get in without an appointment and I wanted to bring my two friends. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very nice and suggested making our appointments at 5:30 instead of 6 in order to accommodate all three of us before they closed at 7.. No problem, but I had to rearrange my work schedule to make this happen - as did my friends. When I arrived at 5:30 for my appointment, there were more people on staff than normal which relieved me so that all of us would be treated together and so that I would be done in time to make my birthday dinner. My friends were parking as they sat me down quickly to get me started saying that they wanted to make sure to accommodate my "party". Within the next couple of minutes a group of 6 came in and were excited because the receptionist was able to squeeze them in last minute. Within seconds, they were sitting all around me occupying all of the techs that were working- so who was going to treat my friends? I stressed my concern to my nail tech who seemed overwhelmed and disinterested in what I was saying. She was working incredibly quickly and sloppy- and caused me to bleed on several nails from being too rough. The woman working the front desk and also dong nails at this point said they would "work my friends in" and then rolled her eyes- not sure why they would need to work my friends in when I made appointments for them? Long story short, I did not get to sit by my friends, one of my girlfriends wasn't able to get her nails done at all and they half assed the entire service. The front desk lady apologized at check out for the confusion with scheduling but didn't offer anything for a) not accommodating our appointments that were made well in advance and b) rushing through our two gel manicures and one pedicure to leave us with horrible results. $100 later.... I'm just really disappointed because I made an effort to respect their time in advance by making the appointments and truly felt they didn't care about my time or my nails. stinks that it was for my birthday as well. as someone who works in the customer service industry, I really hate writing bad reviews like this and actually held off on writing it for a few days, but feel obligated to share my awful experience with others just to provide a better perspective on this salon. Such a disappointment for a place that should be amazing.
