| - Probably went here for the wrong reason... so take this review with a grain of salt
1) Service was almost horrible. We got there and stood around the door and then the bar for about 10 minutes or so, looking around awkwardly trying to find someone who worked there to show us the menu, or like at least, given that it is a dive bar, at least ask us what we would like to drink. Bartender did not come and talk to us until at least 10 minutes after we waited around the bar.
2) Bar was dark and dingy. Music blasting way too loud. Could not hear what my dinner companion was saying at all. We were initially out on the patio, and the tables slant at an angle. Started to rain, and we moved indoors. Most people were standing around. We were probably the only ones sitting at a table.
3) Food was so-so. Ordered the bbq burger. Barbeque sauce was way too sweet. Burger was dry, and tasted gamey. Lettuce quality was poor, reminded me of lettuce I can get myself at the grocery store without any repurposing or anything. Had better burgers elsewhere. They do make their own chips it seems, but the chips were all burnt, and seasoning was not diffusely spread out well, so some chips were just burnt tasting, and others were burnt and too salty. Fries were underseasoned. Beer was ok, got some lemonade beer thingy; probably the only decent aspect of the meal.
Overall, would not be going back. We had a restaurant.com coupon, which we used, but the bill still ended up being pretty pricey considering the quality of the food and environment.
